Chad Hemphill x Tile With Style

Los productos Schluter han sido parte integral de este proyecto, una inmaculada sala de baño en blanco y gris. Trabajar con un cliente muy detallista los mantuvo alertas y los productos Schluter les permitieron construir con confianza y concentrarse en los intrincados detalles del diseño de esta sala de baño.
Una fuerte asociación con los diferentes profesionales es la clave de una construcción fluida. Durante los últimos dos años y medio, Chad Hemphill, de Chad Hemphill Construction, y Brian Johnson, de Tile With Style, han trabajado juntos en proyectos de alta gama en la zona de Oklahoma City, OK. Chad, un veterano militar con 15 años de experiencia como constructor, y Brian, 40 años trabajando como contratista instalador de baldosas, se conocieron a través de un decorador en un proyecto y encontraron al instante una similitud en su forma de trabajar. Con una experiencia combinada de 55 años en la industria, no es difícil ver por qué esta asociación los condujo a través de varios proyectos exitosos.
Educados ambos en la "vieja escuela" de la industria, no fue hasta que un representante de Schluter se presentó en la obra para ayudarles a construir una ducha que Chad se convirtió a Schluter Systems. "Cuando construyes de 7 a 10 nuevas casas por año, es importante tener un producto en el cual confiar." Brian se hace eco de lo que dice Chad, diciendo: "La transición hacia los productos Schluter fue difícil al comienzo, pero ahora no podría usar otra cosa." Ya hace más de una década que ambos vienen trabajando con los productos Schluter en sus proyectos.
Combining large-format porcelain tile with lots of small-format mosaic marble tile, Chad and Brian spent many hours making sure everything was up to the client’s standards. The shower was built using a mud-base, KERDI membrane covering the walls and base, 2"-thick KERDI-BOARD for the seat, and a custom KERDI-BOARD niche, all covered in beautiful marble tile, and trimmed with JOLLY profiles in matte white. A gold KERDI-DRAIN grate was chosen to match all the fixtures and hardware in the shower, creating a cohesive look across the entire room. The floor in the remainder of the bathroom was fitted with DITRA uncoupling membrane to ensure that cracked tiles were not a worry for this bathroom. As this was a second-story bathroom, this system approach to the tile preparation gives Brian peace of mind: “Knowing that it’s done right the first time, I can sleep at night knowing I won’t get a call a year down the road about something leaking.”
For Chad and Brian, using Schluter products has not only helped them in the building phase but has also helped in gaining new business. “Clients expect a certain level of craftsmanship and quality,” says Chad. “Walking them through Schluter’s products and warranties is a huge selling feature for us and creates a lot of new opportunities.”
